In the early morning hours of February 24, 2017 Nevada Police responded to the 1400 block of East Austin Blvd. in regards to a report of a Frito Lay box truck being stolen as it was being loaded.

Around 3:30 A.M. Nevada Police received a 911 call from a female employee of the Frito Lay Company stating her company vehicle had just been stolen by an unidentified male subject as the truck was being loaded for its daily deliveries.

As Nevada Police arrived on scene they observed debris in the roadway that was identified as merchandise that had fallen out of the truck as it sped away. It was reported the suspect vehicle had traveled east from the incident location. Officers searched for the vehicle but were unsuccessful in finding the vehicle. Later on in the morning GPS tracking was used to locate the vehicle in the 400 block of North Pine Street in Nevada.

Later in the evening Nevada Police had received reports of a suspicious person in the area of East Austin Blvd. Officers were able to make contact with the subject who was wanted out of Cass County, Missouri.
