Michael A. Engeman, son of Alfred and Joan (Tenholder) Engeman, was born June 27, 1955. Mike passed away March 2, 2017 in Tucson, Arizona. He was raised on the family farm near Montrose, Missouri, and was an active member of St. Ludger’s Catholic Church in Germantown, Missouri. He participated in 4-H and baseball as a youth. Shortly after graduating from high school, Mike enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Assault Marine, Headquarters Battalion 1st Marine Division. Mike later worked as a laborer in several industries, including construction of buildings in downtown Dallas.
He enjoyed hiking and reading, especially about history, and fishing. Some of the happiest memories of his youth were days fishing with “Grandpa T”.
Mike moved to Tucson, AZ in 1999, seeking a climate that helped him manage a chronic illness that truly united him with the suffering Christ.
As faith-filled Catholic, Mike is preceded in death by his father, Alfred. Survivors include his mother Joan of Clarksville, Tennessee; his siblings: Ted (Sharon) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Sister Doris of Lawrence, Kansas, Bob (Donna R) of Appleton City, Missouri and Cathy of St. Louis. He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
