Adrian resident Jerry Bearce (second from left) was recently honored for his ongoing dedication through volunteer work. Jerry regularly volunteers at nursing homes, the Adrian fire department and several other organizations in the area. The Lieutenant Governor’s Senior Service Award is intended to promote and highlight the positive accomplishments Missouri’s senior citizens provide their local communities. To qualify for the award, individuals must be at least 60 years of age and volunteer a minimum of 25 hours per year; those who know Jerry can attest that his time spent helping others goes way beyond that.
