Creighton man dies in Independence crash

Ronnie E. Faulkner, 38, of Creighton has been identified as the driver who died in a three-vehicle crash at Interstate 470 and U.S. 40 highway last Saturday.

According to initial reports, Faulkner was stopped at a traffic light in the eastbound lanes of U.S 40 at 470 when his vehicle was stuck by a pickup that lost control while southbound on 470. 

The pickup struck another vehicle prior to hitting Faulkner. Injury status of the occupants of the other vehicles is unknown at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
