Brief Reprieve from the July heat

After a brief reprieve from the heat, warm and muggy conditions will return by early to middle part of next week. Expect heat index values to return to above 100 by Tuesday and persist above 100 through the rest of the week. 

There will be a few chances for some isolated to scattered thunderstorms across northern Missouri through the week. Higher chances for rain could return by late next week.
