Updated Obituary - Dennis L. "Denny" Doll

Dennis L. "Denny" Doll
Dennis L. "Denny" Doll, 84, of Clinton, Missouri, formerly of Urich, Mo., died peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo.

He was born November 24, 1932 in Urich, Mo., the son of Harry Lee Doll and Mabel Colene (Dennis) Doll. He married Marilynn Loy Smith in Clinton, Mo., on December 25, 1952. She survives of the home.

Denny was a lifelong farmer. He was baptized as a youngster at the Cove Creek Baptist Church and graduated from the Ballard High School in Ballard, Mo. He enjoyed basketball, baseball, hunting, fishing, and bowling. In recent years you could always find Denny out working in his yard. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War.

In addition to his wife Marilynn, surviving are two sons, David Doll and wife Donna, Clinton, Mo., and Craig Doll and wife Janel, Garden City, Mo.; one daughter, Deneise (Doll) McCulloh and husband Coburn, Clinton, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Doll) Hall, Nathan Doll, JoLynn (McCulloh) Lovewell, Aaron McCulloh, Jason Doll, Melissa (Doll) Whitworth, and Amy (Doll) Cox; sixteen great-grandchildren, Hunter Lovewell, Baylee Lovewell, Sadie McCulloh, Aubrey McCulloh, Ashlee Hall, J. J. Hall, Mason Doll, Addison Doll, Jenna Doll, Jessica Doll, Joanna Doll, Chancey Whitworth, Lane Whitworth, Makenna Cox, Caden Cox, and Chase Cox; one sister, Karen K. Kerrick, Pensacola, Florida; a brother in law, Russell Hooper, Kansas City, Mo.; sister in law, Betty Doll, Urich, Mo.; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Derrold Doll, and four sisters, Maxine Limbaugh, Margie Hooper, Betty Jones, and Mary Empson.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., just before the service. Military services at the funeral home under the direction of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1894, Clinton. Family burial of ashes will be at a later date in the Mullin Cemetery, Urich, Mo. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145 or Twin Lakes Hospice, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
