Two hundred sixty-four Missouri 4-H members participated in the 2010 Missouri 4-H State Trap Shoot held Saturday, August 28 at Linn Creek, MO. Capturing first place honors in the Senior Division Single Shotgun was Bates County 4-H’er Kristopher Sears of the County Line 4-H club. Kristopher is the son of Kent and Margaret Sears of Rich Hill.
Other Bates Countians shooting in the senior division were Wylie Miller, Jared Jacobs, Derek Sutcliffe, and Victoria Sears. Kristopher Sears, Sutcliffe, and Miller also shot in the Senior Division Double Shotgun event. Representing Bates County 4-H in the Intermediate Division Single Shotgun were Conrad Walley, Luke Crawford, and Riley Patton.
