Judith was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. In life she was fun-loving and enjoyed spending her time gardening, painting, doing ceramics and relaxing by an open campfire. She was an amazing cook and loved nothing more than to cook up a feast for any and all who would join her.

Judith was born January 30, 1940 to Charles Clinton LaFollette and Gertrude Miller LaFollette. She had four siblings and was raised on a farm near Adrian, MO where she formed a great love for horses and all animals. She was married to Paul Joseph Haskins Sr. on February 20th, 1962 and to that union five children were born, and thus spent her entire life as a devoted mother and caregiver, taking great pride in her children and grandchildren, often having them in her home.

At heart, Judith was a healer. She strove to ease the pain in those around her which led her to the medical profession where she became an Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nurses Assistant and Certified Medical Technician. Judith spent her entire working career taking care of others and the last twenty five years working at Adrian Manor Nursing Home, before retiring at the age of 64. This was more than just a job, it was her calling, and she dedicated herself to brightening the days and easing the nights of the residents of Adrian Manor. Judith reached out to make everyone she came in contact with feel special and loved, not only in the halls of the Manor but throughout the town of Adrian.

After retirement, Judith loved to travel, taking several trips to upstate New York to be with her daughter, Maria, and her family. She also traveled to New Mexico with her daughter, Shelly, to see the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, which was a life-long wish.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Michael LaFollette and her dearest friend and cousin, Martha Marty Goss. She is survived by one brother and two sisters, Linda Schilter and husband, Allan of Ozark, MO, Charles LaFollette, Jr. and wife, Nina of Garnett, KS and Nancy Andrews and husband, Russ of Sugar Creek, MO. She is survived also by her children, Shelly Harrison and husband, Kevin of Adrian, MO, Maria Balcom and husband, Joseph of Clayton, NY, Theresa Leavitt and husband, Rocky of Raytown, MO, Lisa Wilson and husband, Court of Adrian and Paul Joseph Haskins, Jr. and wife, Lori, also of Adrian, MO. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 grand-dogs and her very special pet and companion, Sissy. She will be very much missed by all of her family, friends and the people whose lives she touched.
