Amid idle coffee shop talk, chit chat and he said, she said, word is out that the Butler Chamber of Commerce office is moving. Off the square, in fact. One has to wonder what benefit would there be to moving the office away from the historical downtown that the chamber so diligently promotes?
Its totally a farce, according to Executive Director Pat Decker- "We have no idea where this came from. There are no plans to move the chamber office whatsoever!" she told Bates County Live this morning. One has to wonder who dreamed this up or better yet why?
Rest assured, the Chamber office will be at 7 West Dakota street as always.
