Lady Bears take home the win

The Lady Bears softball team beat Leeton 6-5 Tuesday night. It was an incredibly close game. The Lady Bears were down by two runs going into the bottom of the 7th inning. Kylee Johnson led off the 7th inning with a single. Abby McGrew then hit her 2nd double of the night to score Kylee and narrow the lead to 1. Sam Hammer entered the game to run for Abby. Tori McGee was the third batter and hit a single to move Sam to third. Then Tori stole 2nd to move both herself and Sam into scoring position. After a close play but out by Sage Hutton, Tori Stauffacher came to bat and hit a game-winning double to score both Sam and Tori McGee. On the night, Tori Stauffacher was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Abby McGrew was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs, and Maggie Massey was 2 for 3 with an RBI.
