The driver of this car escaped serious injury due to the fact she was wearing a seat belt, according to the highway patrolman who worked the scene. |
Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Missouri driver’s chance of being killed in a traffic crash if they were not wearing a seat belt was
42 times greater than that of a driver who was buckled up. So far this year, those who have been killed in crashes in vehicles requiring seat belt use, 64 percent have been unrestrained.
The Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Click It 4 Life!
