Funeral services for Bob Douty will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel in Butler. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Contributions to Juvenile Diabetes.
Robert Franklin “Bob” Douty, age 62 of Butler, Missouri died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born December 5, 1949 to Dale Gene and Betty Ruth Smith Douty in Butler.
Bob is survived by his wife Brenda Shirlene Douty of Butler, Missouri; two sons, Danny Douty of SanDiego, California and Robert Douty of Independence, Missouri; three daughters, Christal George and husband Chris, Rebecca Douty and Louise Hecox and husband Brandon all of Butler, Missouri; four brothers, Dale Douty and wife Retta of Butler, Missouri, Bill Korte of Tampa Bay, Florida, Danny Smith and wife Marsha of Butler, Missouri and Allen Douty of Adrian, Missouri; three sisters, Diana Bennett and husband Jason of Butler, Missouri, Edith Stradley and husband Travis of Adrian, Missouri and April Heuvelhorst of Chico, California; and 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jess Paul Douty.
