Appleton City man arrested in St. Clair County

Timothy Loney

On Jan. 25, Timothy Loney, 34, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession of a controlled substance and class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation the previous day when a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 52 near the St. Clair and Henry county line. 

Mr. Loney was identified as the driver. During the investigation a glass pipe that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located in a back pack diaper bag found in the vehicle.
