Montrose celebrating homecoming week

Homecoming week is coming next week, January 30-February 3 as the Montrose Bluejays prepare to host the Hume Hornets.

Dress up days are: Monday--"We Be Jammin'"--wear your PJ's; Tuesday--"Totally 80s Day"--Dress in your 80s attire! (Big hair and bright colors); Wednesday--"Famous 80s Movie Day--Dress as a movie character from your favorite 80s movie! (Fotloose, Breakfast club, Top Gun, Rocky, etc.); Thursday--"Revenge of the Nerds Day"--Deck out in your nerd gear!; and Friday--'Totally Rad Spirit Day!" (Seniors--Blue, White, and Black; Juniors--Blue; Sophomores--Black; Freshmen--White; Elementary--Montrose gear.)

The queen coronation will be held following the boys' varisity game as decided by the GVVC Conference schools. The candidates and their escorts are: Senior escort, Gage Thompson; Senior candidate, Katelyn Steinbach; Junior candidate, Emily Palmer; Junior escort,Garrett Hilte; Sophomore escort, Trent Hanlin; Sophomore candidate, Chloe Koch; Freshman candidate, Gracie Koch; and Freshman escort, Brendon Engeman.

The Junior class will be having a pie auction between the girls' and boys' game. There will be lots of activities so come to MHS on Friday, February 3 and join in on the "Totally 80s" Homecoming Festivities.
