Don Elges

Don Elges, age 64, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare.

Don was born on Monday, August 11, 1952 to Carl L. and Clayta Madeline ‘Varner’ Elges of Clinton, MO.  Don graduated from Clinton High School with the class of 1970.  He worked for Benetech in the energy industry and just retired from there on January 1, 2017.  Don was a proud member of the Clinton Elks Lodge #1034.  Don loved his farm, his family and most of all, his wife Caryn.

Survivors include his wife, Caryn of the home; two children, Sean Elges and Mike Taylor (wife Lynny); four grandchildren, Andrea Custer (husband Shawn, Haley Elges, Logan Elges and Sophie Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Steve and Merrick Custer; one sister, Carlene Lowe (husband Greg); several nieces, nephews, other family and lots of friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive visitors at 1:00 PM of Friday, January 27, 2017 at Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, with interment at Englewood Cemetery at 3:00 PM.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to C.A.R.E. (Clinton Animal Rescue Endeavor) and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.
