Norma J. Brundridge

Norma J. Brundridge, 65, Rich Hill, MO passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield, MO. Norma was born August 10, 1951 in Oklahoma City, OK to Logan C. and Mildred (Baker) Files.

Norma was raised in Nevada and attended school here. She also lived in California at various times. Norma was employed by 3M in Nevada for 25 years until her retirement. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was known for always being there for everyone in a time of need.

Survivors include three children, John Newton, Algoa, MO, Pepper Jacobs, Rich Hill, MO, Misty Brundridge, Rich Hill, MO; three step-sons, Chris Brundridge, IL, Jamie Brundridge, Nevada, Jason Brundridge, El Dorado Springs, MO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Files, Nevada; two sisters, Kathy Araujo, Riverside, CA, Dee Murphy, Nevada; numerous nieces, and nephews; and her “200” adopted children. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Ronni “Cissy” Newton; one son, Mark Anthony Newton; and one sister, Mona Files.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Terry Mosher officiating. Interment will be held at Click Cemetery, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
