There are many areas that can be affected when your vehicle is out of alignment. It could make your vehicle pull one way or another on the road which could be dangerous for not only the person driving but others on the road as well.
One big and possibly costly area is the wear on tires. If the vehicles suspension is out of alignment it will cause the tires to wear unevenly. I don't know of anyone that likes to fork hundreds out on tires just to have them go bad because of something that could have been prevented with an alignment.
