Drexel: Water restored but boil order in effect

The city of Drexel has restored water, therefore school will be in session. Since there is a boil order, we will be providing drinking water for students and staff until the boil order is lifted. Thank you for your patience and understanding and thank you to the city of Drexel for working to restore water.

Please note that even though water has been restored, we do have a few issues to contend with at Drexel school:

#1 - We our under a boil order, as a result the water fountains are out of order and we will provide suitable drinking water.

#2 - When we came in to turn on the water, the valve that controls the older portions of the buildings has failed, so therefore at this time the only locations that have working water and restrooms are the North Commons (Kitchen) and the Elementary - these are the only restrooms operational until we can get the valve repaired. Please remind students of this and do not use any of the restrooms in the other parts of the facilities.

Thank you for your attention to this matter,
Superintendent Terry Mayfield
