Katy Lou Whitely Balentine, born December 28, 1928 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Carter and Thelma (Sheegog) Whitely. Katy married C.O. Balentine November 4, 1948.
Katy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, C.O. Balentine; brother Jim Whitely, and two great-grandsons, Brady DaMitz and Simon Balentine.
She is survived by her brother, Bill Whitely (Nola); daughter, Olivia Mulvaney (David), sons, Joe Balentine (Melody) and Barry Balentine (Lisa); 15 grandchildren, Mike, Milo, Daniel, Gabriel, Tiersa, Ryan, Chris, Teresa, Shelley, Polly, Adam, Matthew, Morgan, Ellen and Carter; and 34 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Katy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., February 3, 2017 at South Haven Baptist Church, 16800 Bel-Ray Blvd., Belton, MO 64012.
