On 3/31/17 around 8:00pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with the Adrian Fire Department, Bates County Sheriff's Deputies and Bates County EMS all responded to a ATV Accident at 16442 NW County Road 4001 in rural Adrian.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2017 Artic Cat 500 ATV driven by 22 year old Michelle L. Newsome was traveling Northbound on private property when she lost control of the ATV and struck a tree ejecting the driver.
Michelle L. Newsome sustained serious injuries in this accident and she was transported by Bates County EMS to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
The ATV received moderate damages and it was secured at the scene.
