During this week's Adrian city council meeting, a motion was made and carried to reopen the discussion of annexing 71 Highway between Co-op road and AA Highway. With an increasing number of gas station drive off's and other crimes adjacent to the highway, it is thought that expanding police jurisdiction to include this stretch of road would be of benefit. At this time information is being gathered from MODOT and the Missouri Highway Patrol to find out more about the annexation process- all of which will be discussed at an upcoming council meeting.
