Five more candidates threw their hat in the ring for the three upcoming positions on the Miami school board. The official list of those running is as follows:

Amy Talley
Tracy Ewbank
Bobby Yanonis
Richie Powell
Kim Huebert
Chris Cumpton
Aaron Muller
Vicki Popplewell
During open session during the regular school board meeting Tuesday night, a vote was passed 6 to 1 to not renew the contract with Superintendent Leonard Tourtillott. The search to fill the position will begin immediately as Tourtillott will remain in position through the end of the school year.
