Funeral services for Roberta Rives will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Ron Dunlap officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 1-2 p.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Contributions to Butler First Christian Church.

Roberta Vanessa Rives, age 89 of Butler, Missouri died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Willow Lane Nursing Center in Butler. She was born October 31, 1921 to Clifton and Hazel Morrison Fisher in Lockwood, Missouri.


Roberta is survived by two sons, George W. Rives Jr. and wife Linda of Peculiar, Missouri and Wayne L. “Luke” Rives and wife Sally of Butler, Missouri; five grandchildren, Chad Rives and wife Cindy, Kathy Todtenhausen, Angie Kauffman and husband Kermit, Josh Rives and wife Megan and Jeff Rives and wife Ashley; six great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Lanie, Gabe, Caden, Annabelle and Chloe. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George W. Rives Sr. in 2002; two granddaughters, Leslie Beard and a stillborn girl; two brothers, Wayne Morrison and Jack Fisher; a sister, Fernita Thomas; and two stepbrothers, Wallace and Bill Waggner.
