Obituary - Leta Robey

Funeral services for Leta Robey will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Ron Dunlap officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 1-2 p.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Contributions to Heartland Hospice or Medicalodge Nursing Center.

Leta Louise Robey, age 88 of Butler, Missouri died Friday, January 21, 2011 at Medicalodge Nursing Center in Butler. She was born August 16, 1922 to James Claire and Fern Seymour Scarlett in Fairfax, Missouri.


Leta is survived by her son, Marvin Eugene Robey and wife Mary of Butler, Missouri; two daughters, Joyce McEwan of Kansas City, Missouri and Merle Elaine Courtney and husband Kenneth of Butler, Missouri; two brothers, Bob Scarlett and wife Opal of Albion, Nebraska and Jim Scarlett and wife Sally of St. Edward, Nebraska; one sister, Betty Rech of Albion, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Jeri Couch, Jason McEwan, Damon Courtney and wife Lindsey, Julie Lyons and husband Scott and Jessica Robey; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Marion in 1974; one daughter, Connie Jo Robey; three brothers, Bill, Fred and Ed; and six sisters, Alice Esau, Anice Leach, Zeta Munsinger, Rebecca Landaver, Donna Scarlett and Bernice Scarlett.
