The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory to be in effect during the overnight hours. Areas to the North, including Kansas City up to the Iowa state line are to expect 2 to 4 inches of snow beginning this evening. Bates County is forecast to get up to 1 inch of snow, which may include sleet or freezing rain starting sometime after 6 p.m. Anyone traveling North over the next 24 hours is advised to use caution.
