Bates County Live announces mirror web site

Bates County Live is growing and we have new readers coming on board every day. With that in mind, we want to make sure the news is available in the event of a problem (we all know how the internet can be at times)  so we have set up a 'mirror' web site that is hosted from another location which can be used at any time as well. The web site is BatesCountyNews.com and overall it has the same content as BatesCountyLive.com with just a few minor differences in the home page layout.

Our ongoing goal is to provide more (all) local news and information every day to our readers. We constantly troll other local news sources to see what we might have missed so we can be on the ball next time. With this in mind, we would like to remind everyone that we gladly welcome your news including engagement announcements, family reunions, church news, school news, anniversary announcements, promotions, scholarship winners, sports achievements- you name it......


We don't intend to compete with anyone else providing this information. However, we are trying to provide it using the conveniences of the internet including video, which you'll see more and more of on Bates County Live. Mostly, the internet allows for nearly instant updates regarding what's happening in the area.
