Funeral services for Gene Winters will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Victory Assembly of God Church in Adrian, Missouri with Pastor Lance Loughridge officiating and Rev. Gary Green assisting. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 19 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Burial in Staley Mound Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Billy Gene Winters, age 70 of Peculiar, Missouri died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at his home in Peculiar. He was born September 30, 1940 to Charles Alrece and Belva Oleva Williams Winters in Eugene, Missouri.


Billy is survived by his wife, Betty Winters of Peculiar, Missouri; two daughters, Novialea “Nova” Surgeon and husband Tim of Cleveland, Missouri and Re’Jane VanDerBom (Danny) of Valley Center, Kansas; a son, Billy “Bill” Don Walters of North Dakota; four sisters, Naomi Davis, Bonnie Wyrick and husband Bob and Dona Marie Greiner all of Kansas City, Kansas and Eunice McClain and husband Ronnie Wichita, Kansas; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Rev. David Winters and Paul Winters.
