'Good deed' didn't go unnoticed
Friday morning just before 9 a.m., a passer by driving just south of the stop light in Butler couldn't help but notice a grey, frightened house cat crouching in the middle of Business 71 highway. Apparently the cat found him/herself in the middle of a busy roadway and decided to stay put, instead of risking a potentially deadly run to safety.
The passer by slowed and veered around the cat and headed towards the hospital to drop off someone for an appointment. A few minutes later, the passer by was headed back towards the stoplight and was delighted to see a local emergency vehicle had stopped traffic, with red lights flashing, as the driver shooed the cat into an alley to safety. All was well and traffic was again flowing as normal.
Kudos to the emergency personnel who took a few minutes to help an animal that might have met a terrible fate, your good deed is greatly appreciated.
