A mobile home located about two miles south on Lake Road near Drexel was the scene of two separate fire calls yesterday and early this morning. Earlier in the day yesterday, the Drexel Fire Department was called to the location as the home was reported to be on fire and was totally involved upon their arrival. Around 12:30 this morning, the fire department was called to the scene again as it appears that the smoldering remains sparked a grass fire that covered a relatively large area. The Drexel Fire Department received mutual aid by Adrian and Amsterdam Fire Departments in this morning's call.
The mobile home was reported to be uninhabited at the time of the fire.
