As there's a very slight chance of snow (yes, snow later in the day) and a projected high of 45 this Saturday, the annual Butler Christmas parade and festivities are set to get underway as scheduled. Little Miss Snowflake and Mr. Jack Frost will be crowned at noon at the gazebo followed by a performance by the Adrian Dance Craze at 1:45; the parade should arrive on the square around 2 p.m.
Saturday evening, a live Nativity scene will be on display at the Merwin Christian Church from 6 to 8 p.m. with another showing Sunday night.
Bates County Live will be providing picture and video highlights of both events which will be available later in the evening.
