We are conducting a poll to get the public's opinion for a small county tax to support the food pantry. There is also consideration of starting a Thrift shop as well, which will be called Community Charity. The profits from this Thrift will 100% be funneled back into Bates County Charities. Both are to be run by an Executive Board. The amount of the tax would be keep small, like possibly--say .15 % or .25% per $1,000. of property assessment. With this in mind, please participate in our poll located on the top right of our home page.
