Three members of the Miami FCCLA competed in Regional STAR Events onWednesday, February 5th at the University of Central Missouri. Jaclyn Crawford competed in the Fashion Construction category. She designed and sewed an 1860’s dress from a pattern that she created. Kara Goddard
competed in the Recycle and Redesign category. She created and sold unique jewelry made from various recycled bullet casings.
Caitlin Slattery competed in the National Programs in Action category. She collected poptabs, books, and other products for the Ronald McDonald House of KansasCity. All three of these competitors received gold medals and will be representing Region 12 at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference March30th-April 1st in Columbia, Missouri. Watch out for upcoming fundraisersto help take these girls to State, and wish them luck in their journey toNationals!
