Funeral services for Steve Mooney will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Ron Dunlap officiating. Visitation will be 1 - 2 p.m. prior to services at Schowengerdt Chapel. Contributions to Miami High School FFA.
Steven Elliot Mooney passed away February 24, 2014 at the age of 68 at his home in Adrian, Missouri. Steve was born March 11, 1945 to Howard Eugene and Emily Vera Valentine Mooney in Kansas City, Missouri.
Steve is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Moore and husband David of Belton, Missouri, Stacy Guest and husband Aaron of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Lisa Hatfield of Belton, Missouri; three brothers, Lester Mooney and wife Grace of Cleveland, Missouri, Bobby Mooney and wife Lisa of Hermitage, Missouri and Kenny Mooney and wife Deanie of Adrian, Missouri; a sister, Angela Ewbank and husband Tracy of Amsterdam, Missouri; a partner, Carol Naylor of Adrian, Missouri; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruby Mooney.
