On this the last day of meteorological Winter, you'll be waking up to a winter storm WATCH that is now in effect from Saturday night into Monday morning. The latest data continues to point to a major winter storm impacting the region this weekend. Here is a first look at potential snow totals for this event. We've highlighted an area that could see potential snow totals 6" or greater by Monday ...morning. Remember, don't get tied down to these numbers, as we'll likely continue to refine where the highest amounts may fall as this storm remains over the Pacific ocean today. There will also be a band of heavier snow within the purple area, but right now it's still too early to determine where that band of potentially higher snow totals will fall. Don't forget the potential impacts from sleet that could also impact snow totals.
