A Nevada man has been arraigned in Vernon County associate circuit court on misdemeanor charges alleging the assault of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. Nevada police officers say Douglas E. Scholes, who was born in 1974, was arrested on Tuesday 2-18-14 when officers investigated reports of a man armed with a hammer chasing youngsters walking to school.
During a Wednesday 2-19-14 arraignment, Judge Neal Quitno scheduled a pre-trial conference for 9:00 a.m. this Thursday 2-27-14. Scholes's was denied a opportunity to signature bond out.
