Silver Alert posted for missing 77-year-old KCK man

KANSAS CITY, Ks. - Kansas City, Kan., police have issued a Silver Alert for an elderly man who failed to show up at a fast food restaurant. Oscar Smith, 77, is well-known at the business and was to go there about 2 p.m. Tuesday. Employees said Mr. Smith never made it there.

Police said Mr. Smith was driving a beige, four-door 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The car's license plate number is 341-FFS. He was last seen wearing a bulky tan jack, blue jeans, glasses and black Hendrick Motorsports baseball cap. Police said in a news release Mr. Smith needs to take his medications Tuesday night.
