Butler man escapes injury in rollover accident

Around 2:30 this morning Nicholas J. Armentrout, 29 of Butler miraculously walked away from what otherwise might have been a quite serious two car accident just North of Adrian on 71 Highway. According to the report, Armentrout was traveling in the Southbound lanes and swerved to avoid hitting a 2007 Peterbuilt tractor-trailer driven by Michael W. Smith of Antlers, Ok. The Armentrout car then travelled off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected and returned to the roadway striking the truck. The Armentrout car then traveled to the median where it overturned. Drivers of both vehicles were wearing seat belts and neither required treatment for injuries. The investigation continues; charges are pending.
